Just published: “The King’s Path: The Rise of Prince Philip, Father of Alexander the Great” by Chris Thomas (Amazon KDP)

Good day, I’m Elena and thank you for reading Alessandro III di Macedonia- resource on Alexander the Great and Hellenism! Today I’d like to announce a new fictional book just published:

The King’s Path: The Rise of Prince Philip, Father of Alexander the Great

by Chris Thomas

(Amazon KDP)

The King’s Path, Rise of Prince Philip is based on the real life events of Philip of Macedon, father of Alexander the Great.
Philip grew up in Pella, the capital of Macedonia. Macedonia was a growing and successful kingdom in Northern Greece at the time of his birth in 382 BC. His father was King Amyntas and his mother was Queen Eurydice. They were both strong and dynamic personalities and Amyntas was a powerful leader of his time.
Historically speaking Athens and Sparta had been the leading powers of Greece. However, Macedonia and their neighbor, Thebes would change that within Philip and his son’s lifetimes. Philip benefitted from not only his Macedonian upbringing but also was greatly influenced by time spent in Thebes in an interesting and surprising way.
The book also covers the personal lives of Philip and the fighting men of the Macedonian army. Their personal challenges, victories and love lives were similar to those that everyone faces but also unique to veterans and military men and women through time.
Amyntas, Philip and finally Alexander were men and Kings that were very uniquely and tremendously influential on all world history since their time due to their incredible conquests and victories. They were just men however and were very strongly influenced by the love of the women in their lives.

actually is Free but I don’t know how long this promotion will last

On the cover it says Part 1 so I deduce there will be other parts too but I don’t know how many and up to what point the author will cover the story if up to Philip’s death or even Alexander the Great’s years. I have no idea what kind of historical research the author did and what his reference texts were, I don’t know the author and I don’t have any further information to give you, but I can tell you that it’s a read I’ll do and that as soon as I’ve finished it I’ll publish my review.

Thanks and have a good Sunday,
