Good day, thanks to be on Alessandro III di Macedonia- your source about Alexander the Great! Today I’d like to report you an interesting new release of yesterday. I’m talking about the second book of the Throne of Darius‘ series:
Princess of Persia
Throne of Darius #2
by Mark G. McLaughlin
Independently published, 2020
Alexander the Great would have been furious at the disrespect shown to him in this novel. His mother, Olympias, would have surely cursed the author for depicting her son as a blood-thirsty glory-hound with delusions of godhood. On the other hand, Darius, the king whose throne Alexander lusted for, and Memnon, the general who was for a time the young Macedonian’s greatest foe, are likely smiling in their graves, relieved that someone west of the Bosphorus has finally told their side of the story.
Princess of Persia is the second in the series which began with Throne of Darius: A Captain of Thebes. It continues the story of the Greek and Persian men and women – and one woman in particular – to whom Alexander was anything but “great,” and tells the tale of the young world conqueror from the perspective not of those who worshipped him – but of those who fought against him.
The Kindle version is already available and the printed version will be available in the next few days! The editor is Krystallia Papadimitriou and she made the maps also and the cover is by Scott Mitchelson.

This series is something different about Alexander the Great because it’s an historical military fiction book from the point of view of those who fought against him! Mark on his website wrote that he’s working on the third book of the series “A Sacker of Cities” and he planned to write eight books for this series! I have to read the first one!
Are you interested on it? Did you read the first book? Tell me and for more informations, as always, stay tuned!
Have a great day,
