There hasn’t been an official announcement yet but there are two sources confirming this news:

FIRST SOURCE: the monographic issue of Archeo dedicated precisely to the MANN, Il MANN verso il futuro released on Italian newsstands in mid-February and shows the date of May 25 as the start of the exhibition and August 28 as the end!

In apertura il 25 maggio al MANN, punta a gettare nuova luce sulla figura del celebre sovrano e condottiero, affrontando anche il tema della diffusione della cultura greca in Egitto, Asia e nel subcontinente indiano. Un proposito perseguito con 150 opere, di cui sessanta provenienti dalla collezione del MANN che, per l’occasione, saranno poste in dialogo con manufatti concessi in prestito da Louvre, British Museum, Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, oltre che dal Museo Nazionale Romano e dal Museo delle Civiltà – Museo d’Arte Orientale “Giuseppe Tucci”. Ripercorrendo il susseguirsi di battaglie e trionfi militari, la mostra indagherà anche l’eredità di Alessandro Magno, evidenziando i risvolti culturali, sociali e religiosi innescati dagli scambi tra civiltà avvenuti durante e dopo la sua ascesa. Tante le meraviglie artistiche del passato riunite per l’occasione, a cominciare dalla statua equestre in bronzo che mostra il re a cavallo: databile intorno al I secolo a.C., riemerse da Ercolano durante le campagne di scavo di epoca borbonica.
